
Fixer-Upper Fund
The Fixer-Upper Fund (FUF) is for property owners in Saranac Lake who would like assistance in doing repair work to the exterior of their homes. This work includes roofs, siding, landscaping, etc. To encourage neighborhood revitalization at a larger scale, the applicants are required to apply in a group of a minimum of 3 residents/owners.
Step One: Guidelines

Properties must be located within the village of Saranac Lake.

All awards will be processed as reimbursements, with proper documentation/receipts required; cash advance considered on a case-by-case basis.

Aid in funding exterior property improvements including but not limited to roof replacements, siding replacements, and landscaping.

In addition to the application form, you are required to submit a materials cost estimate to vslldc@gmail.com: ​

Application submissions will open on Monday, March 10, 2025. The SLLDC will award funds on a rolling basis by the fund’s review committee.

Review process will consist of location verification and cost estimate review.

FUF applications review will be performed by the SLLDC.
Step Two: Online Application
First, fill out the application form via Google Forms here.
Step Three: Email Materials Cost Estimate
Email vslldc@gmail.com and provide your materials cost estimate.
Subject: FUF_Budget_LastName1_LastName2
This step is mandatory to be considered for grant funding.

Step Four: Review
The SLLDC will review, approve, or deny applications once they are received in full. You will be notified of a decision.
Step Five: Reimbursement
Once your project is complete, submit receipts to vslldc@gmail.com in order to be reimbursed.
